Idaho Inferno is an AAU Member Club.  It is Non-Profit Association, qualified as a 501(c)3 subordinate organization of the AAU group exemption (which really means we can accept charitable donations and operate as a non-profit).

  • Provide a competitive basketball opportunity for our players

  • Develop, through basketball, the skills and character that will prepare our youth for the challenges of life.

Boys and girls in grades 3rd to 8th, attending a school in the Middleton School District or attending Vision Charter School (grades 3rd to 6th grade) may tryout for Idaho Inferno.

Tryouts are typically in August/September of each year.  Players are individually evaluated by previous and current club staff and others approved by the Board.  During tryouts, Inferno directors meet with parents to discuss Inferno policies and answer questions. Player selection is based upon factors including, but not limited to, basketball skill, competitiveness, effort, attitude, positional needs of a team, parent behavior, and overall impact on the culture of the team and club. All players MUST attend a tryout before being accepted onto a team.  If they miss the tryouts and the makeup tryouts, a private tryout will be scheduled, as approved by the Board.

Makeup Tryouts

If a player missed tryouts, Inferno usually has a makeup tryout the following Tuesday evening.  If that tryout is missed, as well, then a private tryout will need to be scheduled as tryouts are MANDATORY before being selected on a team.

Player Acceptance Registration

If your child is selected to be on an Inferno team, you will receive an email from Inferno notifying you of the Player Acceptance Registration.  You must reply to this email, accepting the invitation for your child to take a position on the team.  Then, you must come to the Player Acceptance Registration to complete the Statement of Commitment form, Financial Commitment form, give us a copy of your child's current AAU card, and pay your fees.  Also, your child needs to come with you to be fitted for his/her uniform and practice jersey.

NEW THIS YEAR!!  2019 Uniform Changeover and Reduced New Player Registration!

Inferno will be providing uniforms for ALL players for the 2019-2020 season and the fee for new players has been reduced!  In an effort to encourage new players to come to Inferno and to make it more affordable, Inferno has reduced fees.  For more detailed information, see the Inferno Fee section.

AAU Card

All players and coaches are required to provide a current AAU card with the club secretary before starting practice.

All coaching staff receive a full background check in order to qualify as a coach thru AAU.

Inferno Fan Gear

Inferno normally sends out an order form for gear towards the beginning of the season.  We are working on getting it online on this website.

Inferno is constantly looking for members of the basketball community to volunteer in any way whether is it on the board, staff, or just helping with tryouts.  If you are interested, PLEASE contact us.  Inferno meetings are typically held once a month.  We are currently looking for board and staff positions.  We offer a discount on club dues for those who volunteer to help.
